WEDNESDAYS AT SOUTH CHURCH COME ALIVE!

Food. Fellowship. Worship. Learning. Starting on September 14^th and going through December 20, Wednesdays at South Church will be a place of being renewed together in the Spirit! Recharge your spiritual energy mid-week as we gather in fellowship for dinner at 5:30 (prepared by Chef Silvio!), followed by a time of worship at 6:15 and then, at 6:30, we will embark on a time of learning, faith development and sharing, co-facilitated by Pastor Susannah and Marisa Brown Ludwig. We will be using both the Living the Questions curriculum, which explores major themes and invites questions about our Christian faith and a new curriculum called The Wired Word, which integrates bible study with current events of the day. Come for one part of the evening or all three! Childcare will be available. Please plan to join us starting on Wednesday, Sept. 14!

Worship

Morning Worship

Please note that we will continue to worship in the chapel through the New Year due to repair work on the south wall of the sanctuary.

Our worship services happen every Sunday from September to June in the at 10:00 a.m. Preaching, prayer, music and fellowship take many forms and are drawn from sources that are by turns historic, modern and multi-cultural. The organ is one of many instruments that are heard and the minister is one of many voices who share gospel and prayer. All are encouraged to share of their own talents as we unite in praise of God.

Sunday School and child-care happen during the service. Children come to the service and leave for Sunday School after the children's message. All are invited to a time of fellowship in the Parish Hall following worship and Sunday School.

Special Services

Weddings:
Weddings can be performed in our sanctuary or chapel by Rev. Heinrichs for members, their families, or those interested in becoming part of the church community.

Baptisms:
Baptisms take place in the sanctuary during Sunday morning services for members, their families, or those interested in joining our Christian community.

Funerals:
Funerals or memorial services for the deceased normally take place in our sanctuary, our chapel or at the graveside.
